On the Water

Our location at the very top of the Chesapeake Bay means our members are onboard our boats while others are still driving to ports and marinas further south. Throughout the sailing season many are often cruising to the Sassafras, Still Pond, Worton Creek, Annapolis or beyond.

At the Clubhouse

We are an organization of "hands on" sailors, skippers and members.

While working on our boats, club projects, out on cruises or enjoying sunset from our porch we are a community bound by our appreciation of boating and the Chesapeake Bay.

Membership

Our 12 acre facility on the North East River, the clubhouse, docks, mooring field and boatyard are for the use of our Active Members.

Social Members are welcome to use our onshore amenities and to join us for club events.

Events

Throughout the year we gather for events at the club, in between on most weekends you'll find members socializing in the clubhouse or on the our porch.

Hances Point Yacht Club is a private property for the exclusive use of its members. If you would like to arrange a visit, you must be accompanied by a member at all times on the grounds. Hances Point Yacht Club has been Certified as a Clean Marina since 2016. We are actively engaged with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to protect our bay.
